The Story -

Actually this one was supposed to be mine! Hearing the bite was on, Josh, Trevor (whom you'll meet later on the photo page), and I, had gone in search of monster bluegill. I wanted to hang one on the wall next to my slab crappie so he didn't look so small up there next, to my 11 1/4 pound walleye! Josh stole the day however, landing this monster bluegill, which for some reason I couldn't talk him into releasing! We caught close to a dozen that day only one of which was less than 3/4 pound. The majority of them were in fact over a pound.

Upon return trip a few days later I had one almost this size on, but certain children who shall remain nameless had removed the landing net from the boat. When I got him boat side he made a run under the motor, that I couldn't stop on my ultra-light rod, cutting the line on the prop.

I wound up with 6 that day only one of which went under a pound, 3 were 1 1/4 to 1 3/8 pounds, along with 5 nice frying size walleye in 1 1/2 to 2 pound range. Using the same tackle and tactics.
(And, folks wonder why I spend all my time bluegill fishing!)
