Redneck Condo

NCM 0145 Framing it up... easier to build it laying on it's side. NCM 0147 Wife checking out the view from within the stand. NCM 0148 Wife still checking out the view from within the stand. NCM 0149 Damn... I think she must have got comfy there or something!
NCM 0156 Windows framed in. NCM 0188 Exterior walls sheeted. NCM 0189 Yep... 6" of insulation and 6 mill plastic wrapped. NCM 0191 Looking better all the time.
NCM 0193 Interior sheeted! NCM 0194 No wife... oh yeah... that ain't the comfy chair. NCM 0195 Rafters going on. NCM 0201 Shutters hung over the windows.
NCM 0203 Roof on, shutters on, outside pretty much done!! NCM 0204a Uhmmmm... yeah, we all out and installed soffit vents also. NCM 0206 Used door, layed out door frame wrong and had to build the door jamb to fit. NCM 0208 Shelving installed.
NCM 0209 Trial and error window tracks... On the left, straight cut hoping that router bit would allow enough room to slide plexiglass. Center... 22 1/2* angle cut on track, same bit. Right is finished version of center piece. NCM 0211 Shelving stained... Otherwise it'll be too bright in low light situations. And, because I wanted it purty!! NCM 0213 Window shutters... hinged with 2 inch nylon strap. NCM 0214 Works great, just don't screw things up like I did and cut them to fit the window. Run them all the way to the end of the shutter.
NCM 0216 If you don't, you leave your corners exposed as I did here. NCM 0220 Interior finished except laying carpet on floor. NCM 0224 Used 16 penny nails for window stops. Cut 1/4" plastic tubing to wrap around them to soften the noise when you shut them. NCM 0225 All shutters have bungy cord affixed to back of shutter, run it under window stop to secure the shutter when not used.
NCM 0226 Window slides down over shutter latch and pretty much locks it all in place. NCM 0227 Shutter's are all rope operated. NCM 0228 All ropes were run through plastic tubing to keep from fraying the rope. Heated ends and flared them, popped them in while warm. When they cooled, you cannot move them!!! NCM 0233 Had to paint a squirrel in that spot! I suggested it, 15 minutes later the sister-in-law suggested it too. Had to be!!
NCM 0234 Camo installed front of blind. NCM 0235 North side of blind. NCM 0236 South side of blind. NCM 0239 REDNECK CONDO!
NCM 0324 Moving free Stairs to stand site. Thanks Bruce!! NCM 0325 Stairs sitting in place. NCM 0326 Tight fit, but it did go through the poles to sit it there. NCM 0327 Had to turn free stairs to clear tree. Hadn't planned on the landing, and rather than have 4 feet between stairs and tree, you kinda ran into it as you stepped off the stairs.
NCM 0328 Made it to site from shop! NCM 0525151709 Getting it from the ground to here was not easy!! NCM 0525151709a Wife leaning thinking that maybe that'll help it go over that way like she wants it to. (o;? NCM 0525151710 Easing it down on posts.
NCM 0525151710a Going very slowly!!! NCM 0525151710b Almost there! NCM 0525151712 She's trying to tell me the post is now leaning like she was. NCM 0525151712a Setting down solid, just needs a little adjusting.
NCM 0525151713 Everything straightened out, bolt it down!! Quick!!! NCM 0525151727 Hides pretty good even with the bright yellow forklift in front of it. NCM 0331 Standing by itself.
